13th Annual National Farriers Week
American Farriers Journal's tribute to farriers' hard work and dedication
Farriers work hard year-round to provide quality hoof care for horses worldwide. To honor their dedication and serve, American Farriers Journal created National Farriers Week. In its 13th year, National Farriers Week is an opportunity to honor farriers. It’s an opportunity for horse owners, trainers, riders, grooms, veterinarians, and others in the equine community to say "thanks" for all the terrific work farriers do.
Although the Journal hopes that you show appreciation all year long, they are encouraging any type of acknowledgement during the week of July 8 - 14. This year, American Farriers Journal is going to spotlight farriers based on feedback received. Beginning now through July 1, the Journal is encouraging horse owners and others to submit pictures of their farriers working with their horses, and share why they appreciate their farrier. Stories about their farrier will also be accepted.
If you are a farrier making a difference in the industry, send in your pictures and provide us with a story on how you helped improve a horse's life. The Journal will be featuring all stories on Facebook, Twitter and www.AmericanFarriers.com Great or small, we want to hear everything farriers are doing to support the industry. You can submit photos and stories to Michelle Sauer at firstname.lastname@example.org. Be sure to include your full name and location with your submission (if you are a horse owner, please include your farriers full name and location as well).
American Farriers Journal has also posted a certificate for National Farriers Week that horse owners can download and personalize for their farriers. It can be downloaded by clicking here.
The Journal looks forward to hearing your stories, sharing pictures and
highlighting the individuals who work hard to keep our horses sound.
