The hunters took the ring on Friday evening, with the fancy ponies in the $2500 Pony Hunter Classic first in the ring, followed by the David Q. Wright Memorial Germantown Hunter Classic. The limited edition bronze charter entitled “Going in Circles’ is the perpetual trophy for the winner. The fox hunting scene on the rim depicts a foxhunt with horses and riders, hounds, and the wily fox looking over his shoulder, laughing at the riders. The trophy is designed by Bill Dudley and cast by the Lugar Bronze Foundry. Gabrielle Smoller and Salmon Run were the Hunter Classic champions. Alyssa Gist and Bonfire were reserve.

Pony Hunter Classic. Shea Taylor went To The Moon And Back to win the prestigious class. Allen Tate and Happy Feet danced to second place.
