MTPC Mini Trials

Photos by Carissa Ramsdell

Formerly known as “learn to event,” Middle Tennessee Pony Club hosted their 2018 Mini Trials at Percy Warner Park, Nashville, Tenn. on April 7, 2018. This is a good event for those riding at the lower levels of eventing or just getting started in the discipline. Levels offered were: Modified Novice, Beginner Novice, Starter, and Amoeba. Dubbed the “3 in 1 day event,” in each division, riders rode a dressage test, a cross country course, and show jumping course. MTPC had about 75 entries for the day’s rides.

Roberta Woronowicz won the Modified Novice division on Cookie Monster with a score of 26.4. Gretchen Webber and Galouette won the Beginner Novice Open with a score of 32.5.

In Modified Novice Jr/YR division, Nora Goldfarb and Maddie won on a score of 23.6. Beginner Novice Jr. Div. A winner was Caitlin Langenhoven riding Gracie Lu Cruisin; winner of Beginner Novice Jr. Div. B was Amelia Chey Slaton on Griffin.
