Champions Crowned at College National Finals Rodeo

Casper, Wyo. – The 2018 College National Finals Rodeo is in the books, with new champions crowned at the finale of the week-long event, June 10-16 in Casper, Wyoming.

This year’s Men’s All-Around Champion is Will Centoni, a junior from Cuesta College. Centoni, who lives in Hollister, Calif., qualified for his second CNFR finals in three events: bull riding, team roping and saddle bronc riding. He earned 645 points across all three events to win the All-Around Championship.

Centoni also won the Bull Riding National Championship, giving his top performances in the first two rounds. No bull rider managed to make a qualified ride in the finals.

Other individual champions were:

Bareback Riding, Tyler Berghuis; Tie-Down Roping Ty Harris; Breakaway Roping and All-Around Women’s Champion, Mia Manzanares; Saddle Bronc, Jake Finlay; Steer Wrestling Tristan Martin; Goat Tying, Mia Manzanares; Team Roping, Kellan Johnson and Trey Yates; Barrel Racing Kynzie McNeill.

The Men’s Top Rookie was tie-down roper Ty Harris, with Maddee Doerr the Women’s Top Rookie.

Team champions were:

Oklahoma Panhandle State University in Goodwell, Oklahoma claimed the Men’s Team title, and McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana captured the Women’s Team crown.
