Dr. Mielnicki Joins Full Circle Equine
Dr. Mielnicki was raised in Lebanon, Ohio. As a child, she spent her summers at camp, where she first learned to ride.
At Bowling Green State University (BGSU), she rode with the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association Hunt Seat team. It was during this time in college that Dr. Mielnicki realized her dream was to become an equine veterinarian. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from BGSU and then received a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University.
Following graduation, she completed a yearlong Large Animal Medicine internship at the University of Minnesota and a year at Purdue University in the Large Animal Medicine residency program.
Dr. Mielnicki enjoys all aspects of equine medicine; however, she finds gastrointestinal, neurologic, and neonatal illness particularly interesting. When she isn’t caring for the clinic’s equine patients, she finds joy in traveling and exploring, riding, reading and spending quality time with family, friends and her three cats (Fynn, Picasso and Cora). Dr. Mielnicki also works on sick or injured goats and cattle.
