Field Trial season continued in December and January, leading up to the National Championship at Ames Plantation that starts February 11, 2019.

The Marshall County Amateur ran December 27-30, 2018, beginning with the Shooting Dog, followed by the All-Age and the Derby.

Marshall County Amateur results:

Shooting Dog:
1. Lester's Prime Poison Lane - Peterson
2. J Maple Jester - Hughes
3. Lester's Prime Passion Lane - Peterson
All-Age:
1. Dialed In - Pendergest
2. Nosam's Full Ride - Ashburn
3. Nosam's Sweetwater - Ashburn
Derby:
1. Rebel Survivor - Williams
2. Cocklebur X Files - Spencer
3. Cocklebur King Tut - Spencer
 
The Ames Amateur began on Tuesday, January 1, 2019. Judges were Chris Weatherly and Kent Walker.

3. Nosam’s Full Ride - Ashburn
Winners of the Ames Amateur Derby:
1. Bad Prairie’s Valley Girl -Wiseman

The West Tennessee Open Shooting Dog Championship started Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Currie Farms in Dancyville, Tennessee, followed by the All-Age on Friday Jan. 11, and the Derby on Sunday Jan. 13.
