Field Trial season continued in December and January, leading up to the National Championship at Ames Plantation that starts February 11, 2019.

The Marshall County Amateur ran December 27-30, 2018, beginning with the Shooting Dog, followed by the All-Age and the Derby.

Marshall County Amateur results:

Shooting Dog:
1. Lester's Prime Poison Lane - Peterson

All-Age:
1. Dialed In - Pendergest

The Ames Amateur began on Tuesday, January 1, 2019. Judges were Chris Weatherly and Kent Walker.

The West Tennessee Open Shooting Dog Championship started Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Currie Farms in Dancyville, Tennessee, followed by the All-Age on Friday Jan. 11, and the Derby on Sunday Jan. 13.
