6th Annual Cliff Goodrich Roping School by Rita Smith IPRA Champion, Cliff Goodrich is hosting his annual fall roping school. This years event will be held on October 13th and 14th at his home arena just outside of Humboldt, Tennessee. Cliff has acquired a lot about knowledge of roping calves while competing professionally for almost 20 years. He started his career as a youngster, but really started competing in college, where he earned the Reserve National Intercollegiate Champion in 1982. The following year he competed in the PRCA where he was the 1983 Southeastern Circuit Champion. He then decided to stay closer to home and start a home building business where he has also excelled. But with his love of calf roping and rodeoing he had to keep competing. He started entering in the IPRA, events which were held close to home. He has won numerous titles and has qualified for the IFR 14 times in calf roping, and won the average two times. He also won the average in the Steer Wrestling in 1998and earned the title of IPRA Reserve World Champion Calf Roper in 1995 and 1996. He has been the IPRA Southeastern Circuit Champion Calf Roper 12 times. Cliff enjoys helping others, whether it be kids or grown ups to learn how to win and enjoy competition. At his school students will be working on groundwork, horsemanship, how to practice, proper equipment, how to win and the winning attitude. He has plenty of good calves to use at the school held in his covered areana. Lunch will be provided to the students. The school will begin on Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. On Sunday there will be a Church Service at 8:00 a.m. and the school will begin at 9:00 a.m. The students will be able to show their stuff at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday with a 3 head roping. School pictures and awards presentation will be immediately following the 3 header.
