by Kevin DeBusk
Competing with the Nationals didn't phase miniature numbers at the Mid-South Fair, in Memphis, Tennessee. The miniature show was held September 29 and 30.
"We were pleased with the show," Kristi Wilkes show chairman said. "This is the largest show we've had, that I know of. It was up about a third from last year and they were good quality animals.
"We had one hundred and nine miniatures and between twenty-five and thirty exhibitors. We also had some good quality animals exhibited." Exhibitors came from Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Kentucky.
Exhibitors we're the only thing they were pleased with. The number of spectators stopping by were also impressive. "Saturday night we didn't get to the Liberty class till almost nine thirty," she reported. "The south end bleachers were almost full, even at that hour."
