Natchez Trace Park Has New Equestrian Center There's a new addition to Natchez Trace State Resort Park. A new conference center was opened last year in addition to 44 new rooms and three suites. Even more recently, the park opened ten new villas on Pin Oak Lake. For the first time, these facilities are available on a year-round basis. "This park is as beautiful as it's ever been, and we now have more facilities to meet the needs of a wider variety of visitors," said Park Manager Duke Hatton. "Businesses and private groups can attest to the unique amenities we offer, but some people may not know that we're the perfect retreat anytime of the year." In the past, the park had only 20 rooms and 18 rustic cabins and they were only open eight or nine months out of theyear. Thanks to the new additions, the park can now better serve the needs of the visitors. "We get pretty busy during the summer months," added Hospitality Manager Riley Sullivan, "but now is a perfect time to get in, enjoy thepark and avoid the crowds." Natchez Trace State Resort Park can also meet the needs of large gatherings at the Group Lodge. It holds 64 people and includes meeting rooms, kitchen, dining rooms, four cottages, and a bunkhouse. The Natchez Trace Lodge is situated on a 700-acre lake for fishing or skiing and boasts three smaller lakes as well. The park also has a new Equestrian Center. Visitors can enjoy fine meals at the park restaurant following a day of recreation on miles of hiking trails. Natchez Trace State Resort Park is located off I-40 about half way between Nashville and Memphis at Exit 116. To make reservations, please call 1-800-250-8616.
