Draft Horse And Mule Field Day April 27 The annual Swords Draft Horse & Mule Field Day will be held Saturday, April 27 near Holly Springs, Mississippi. Most types of field work with horses and mules will be demonstrated. Log skidding and loading will be demonstrated. Plowing with six horses to a two bottom gang plow will be shown. Baling hay with horse power is planned. Wagon and buggy rides will be given all day. There will be a "straightest furrow" contest and an obstacle course for wagons. Bring your horses or mules, and any implements you want to show off. If you want to bring just your team, some extra equipment will be available. Thirty or more teams of horses and mules are expected. In Holly Springs go to Chulahoma Avenue. It is south of the court square and north of U.S. Highway 78. Signs will be posted from the traffic light at Chulahoma Avenue at all turns to direct you to the site on the farms of George Poteet and Frank Sword.
