Find Friendship At Old Mound "Spring Round-Up" -- April 19 For the past four years, two trailrides a year have been held at Old Mound located near Friendship, TN. One is held in the spring just to get everyone together for a fun time of visiting, riding horses, riding the hay wagons, and finish the day off with a old fashion barn dance. The second is held in September with all funds donated to St. Jude Children's Hospital. These rides turn out to be bigger and better every year. Bennie and Kathy Moore want to thank each and everyone for all your participation and help making these rides such a great success. This year will be even better with the "Spring Round-Up" ride on April 19, 2003 and the "Saddle-Up" for St. Jude ride on September 27-28, 2003. Everyone is invited to attend this spring's ride which will begin on April 19 at 10:00am, the ride leaving out at 11:00am. The ride will be rain or shine. You may want to pack a lunch, snacks, and drinks. To help with the cost of the ride, there will be concessions of hamburgers and hotdogs at a small fee when the ride returns approximately four to four-thirty that afternoon, until the time for the barndance. We are planning lots of games, some on horseback, some not, after the ride is over. Then sometime around dark the barn dance will begin. Overnight camping is available. So, bring a lawn chair and lots of energy for a fun filled day! The ride is located at 824 Old Mound Road, Friendship, TN about one mile off Hwy 412 (approximately 25 miles west of Jackson and 15 miles east of Dyersburg).
