Munford Saddle Club Picks Royalty For 2003 Show Season Munford, Tennessee Saddle Club held their royalty show in November to choose a princess and queen for the 2003 show season. There were nine young ladies from the ages of 6-12 who competed for princess. They were Shannon Boswell, Gabrielle Hipple, Stephanie Hutton, Kristi Johnson, Mary Johnson, Reva Obenchain, April Robley, Samantha Salter and Abby Walker. There were four young ladies from the ages of 13-18 who competed for queen. They were Marhya Faulk, Brittany King, Kim Northup and Nichol Salter. After showing their horsemanship and modeling abilities the princess and queen candidates were asked questions about M.S.C., horses, and the items needed to take care of horses. The judges chose Samantha Salter as the 2003 princess and the 2003 queen is Brittany King. Princess Samantha Salter is the daughter of Earl and Christine Salter. She is in the fifth grade at Barretts Chapel Elementary. She enjoys soccer, fishing, but most of all she loves riding her horse, U WONDER. Queen Brittany King is the daughter of Steve and Rebecca King. She is an eighth grader at Gateway Christian School. She enjoys deer hunting with her dad. She loves birdwatching with her mom, but SASSY, her horse, is her riding buddy. Brittany is an outgoing, outdoors girl. These girls will be competing in the upcoming SASCA Royalty Show April 6, 2003.
