SASCA Chaplin Turns "Circuit Rider" submitted by Tommy Casterlin Most people know him as the Chaplin of SASCA, a title he has held for many years but Van Beasley also has his own business of Leather Crafts. He is a member of a couple of clubs in which he is very active, always lending a helping hand but this leaves his wife Debbie alone to handle their mobile tack store they bring to every show. With all this going on Van has also decided to get back into riding again. He purchased a young Palomino horse named Barpasser Bob last year, said he was tired of watching all his friends from the side lines having all the fun. Though he did get to show a few shows last year his plans for the forth coming year is to participate in as many shows as possible. He did get the opportunity to show his horse this past winter at the new club at the Holly Springs Fairgrounds by the name of Marshall County Kids Horsemanship Association for which he did quite well for himself. He managed to garner quite a few first place ribbons on his horse. Overall for the year Van received Reserve Champion for Western Pleasure. We (all of his friends) hope he gets to ride more this year and wish him the best for the upcoming show season.
