St. Jude Benefit Trail Ride October 3, Walnut, MS On Saturday October 3 Frank Hines will host a St. Jude Benefit Trail Ride, leaving from 2697 Saulsbury Road in Walnut, Mississippi. The trailhead is just five miles south from Saulsbury, Tennessee. The ten-mile ride starts at 10 a.m. “It is a fun ride, an easy ride, and has features and short cuts that can accommodate young horses and older riders,” as well as a lake and water break, said organizer Frank Hines. On Friday night, October 2, preceding the ride, there will be food, entertainment, and a Silent Auction. Festivities start at 7 p.m. Friday night and the Silent Auction bids close at 2 p.m. Saturday. Participants are encouraged to bring items for the auction. Prizes bearing the St. Jude logo will also be awarded at the ride. “Last year we had over 200 horses participate,” Hines said. He hopes that at least that many riders or more will come for this year’s ride. Come out and join the fun! All proceeds benefit St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
