Middle Tennessee Pony Club Horse Trials
On Thursday October 9, 2014 the weather in the Nashville, TN area was a warm, sunny beautiful fall day. But by the weekend, the weather had turned into a slow, steady rain, falling on Percy Warner Park and all the volunteers and competitors at the Middle Tennessee Pony Club Horse Trials, October 11-12. But a little rain didn’t dampen the competition!
Susan Thomas on Fly ‘N’ Bayou won the Open Preliminary Horse Trials with a score of 44.5. Her dressage score was 37.3, but she had 7.2 time penalties on cross county. She had no faults in either jumping phase. Debbie Crowley placed second on Vantage Point, also scoring 44.5. Debbie led after dressage with a score of 30.9, but had 13.6 time penalties on cross country. She also had no faults on either jumping phase.
Anna Pierce and Dakota won the Open Training division with a score of 40.5. She jumped clean on cross country and stadium with no time penalties in either phase, finishing with just her dressage score.
