Lucky Dog Productions brought barrel racing competition back to the Show Place Arena in Cordova, TN on July 31 – August 2, 2020. This show was rescheduled from the May 1-3, 2020 show, postponed because of the Coronavirus pandemic. This show was a Kelley Kaminski (KK) Run for Vegas Barrel & Pole Qualifier with $7,000 added in Open 4D, $2500 Runnin’ With the Pack 5D Side-pots, and $100 added each in the Peewee 3D and Pony 3D.

The Shelby County Health Department COVID-19 restrictions were still in effect for this event, and most people were wearing face masks and physically distancing at this event. Lucky Dog organizers made it clear that “masks MUST be worn by every person inside the main arena at all times all weekend with the exception of children under 12 and those on horseback. Security will be enforcing this all weekend in an effort to keep the facility open for future events. Please help us make sure our events continue to happen by following these rules.” Lucky Dog even had their own logo face masks.

The event attracted about 400 riders from 15 states across the region: South Carolina (2), Georgia (1), Florida (4), Alabama (25), Mississippi (83), Louisiana (8), Arkansas (89), Tennessee (134), Kentucky (13), Missouri (32), Illinois (3), Texas (4), Oklahoma (2), Michigan (1), and Maryland (1).

Action got underway Friday afternoon with the $1,000 added Open 4D, but the main events were on Saturday, starting with $100 added Peewee youngsters, followed by the KK Run for Vegas Barrel Qualifier, the $1500 added Open 4D, and the $500 added Open 3D Poles. Youngsters started the action on Sunday with the $100 added Pony 3D, and the show finished with the $2500 added Open 4D. Fessler Photography captured all the fast action.
