Arkansas Rider Crowned 2001-2002 Mid-South Fair Rodeo Queen Sara Beth Ammann, Clinton, Ark. has been crowned the 2001-2002 Mid-South Fair Rodeo queen. She received her crown on September 22, 2001 at the Mid-South Fair Rodeo. Ammann, 19, is a sophomore at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Ark. She is working on a degree as an RN and made the Dean's list and President's List at UCA. Ammann's titles include the 1997, 1998, 1999 Arkansas High School Rodeo Queen, 2000 Arkansas State Fair Rodeo Queen and the 2000 Van Buren County Rodeo Queen. Ammann is the daughter of San and Donna Ammann. Contestants in the 5th annual contest were judged in categories of horsemanship, personality and appearance. Along with her title, Ammann received a $750 scholarship provided by Nashoba Bank, a silver crown provided by the Miss Rodeo Tennessee Pageant and a saddle and trophy buckle provided by Hewlett and Dunn in Collierville, Tenn. Ammann also received the horsemanship ward and competed on her horse, KNOTHEAD. First runner up is Lindsay Palmer of Austin, Ark. The Mid-South Fair Rodeo Queen contest is sponsored by Time Warner Communications and Sooner Schooner Trailer Sales of Horn Lake, Miss. Additional sponsors are Lincoln Glass Co. Inc., The Awards Place and Screen Print, and Blue Light Studio.
