Mid-South Quarter Horse Breeders Futurity Countdown The 19th Annual Mid-South Quarter Horse Breeders Futurity will be held October 26, 27 and 28 at Shelby Farms Show Place in Memphis beginning at 8:00 a.m. daily. There will be $30,000 in breeders purses and awards. AQHA rules apply in all divisions - competitors must show all three days to qualify. Additionally, the services of 70 stallions will be auctioned off on October 27 beginning at noon. Breeding farms, 70 in all, can be visited on Stallion Avenue (Barns A-D) and if you're looking for next year's hottest two-year old, check out the Breeders Longeline class, sponsored by Mid-South Horse Review. For the kids, there will be a Small Fry Walk-Trot Class (10 and under) held all three days. Points earned on Saturday and Sunday will go toward the prize of a show saddle courtesy of Dobbs Ford of Memphis. Also included in the events will be the Non-Pro "Adult" Walk-Trot Class (18 and over) and an All Around Youth Class, where an award of a $500 gift certificate will be given. Awards will also be given in novice, youth, open, amateur and novice amateur. Entry fees will be $500 added-$50 plus AQHA class fee; $250 added-$25 plus AQHA class fee. There must be 10 entries to add money. Hookups are available as well as vendor space and stallion enrollment. Stalls may be rented for $50 in advance and a 12 month EIA original test is required.
