A Unique Place...Hoof Prints The big red barn sits on the crest of the hill, at 3590 Goodman Road in Southaven, MS. Everyone has known it to be the home of numerous well-bred quarter horses, owned by Mr. George Tackett. It is now the home of "Hoof Print Place". Terry England and Chris Holland have created a unique store by blending equine feeds, livestock show feeds and supplements, vitamins/minerals supplements for all classes of horses, herbs for horses, easy to handle bagged pine shavings, unusual gifts, equine art, used and consignment tack, and bath and body care products for the horse and rider under one roof. The facility has 7 oversized stalls, one foaling stall, wash-grooming area, covered arena and turn out paddock. They offer an "Equine Bedding and Breakfast" service which provides pickup and delivery for special need horses, grooming services, monitored foal watch, overnight stabling, and convalescent care. All pricing is predetermined and based on services rendered. A negative coggins is required, and special needs horses and convalescent horses are by veterinarian referral, with veterinarian instructions strictly adhered to. With the support of a professional and caring staff, this service is customized to please the individual and their special equines. They cater to the horse owner, who wants the best care possible for their horse, when they can not provide it. Hoof Print Place proudly carries Prime Quality Feeds, MoorMan's New Generation Programs and Products, Equine Science "Quality Herbs For Horses", TLC Premium Horse Bedding, Woody Pet, Horse and Farm Stall Bedding. They can accommodate any size truck and or trailer, with feed and shavings, just the other day the Parelli Natural Horsemanship 18-wheeler was seen in the drive stocking up. There are plans for nutrition seminars, saddle-fitting clinics and alternative veterinary care clinics. Terry England has been in horses all her life; she competes in endurance racing, enjoys trail riding and raises Arabians. Chris Holland is trained as a herbalist, owned a number of horses and is active in the Tate County 4-H program and advises in the 4-H goat projects. She is also an officer in the MS Dairy Goat Association and on the Tate County Jr. Livestock Board. Hoof Print Place is open 6 days a week, stop by for a cup of coffee and some pleasant conversation. Their phone number is 662-890-2225.
