2012 NCHA World Championship Futurity

The 2012 NCHA World Championship Futurity, November 25-December 15 in Fort Worth, TX, provided three weeks’ full of exciting competition, a clinic with Chris Cox, the NCHA Futurity Sales, a World Championship Blacksmiths (WCB) competition, and was broadcast on Ride TV, an Internet broadcast of the NCHA Futurity Open Finals for Free.

Cox joined the club of cutting horse professionals December 7 at the National Cutting Horse Association’s World Championship Futurity for a seminar focusing on cutting horse competition from start to finish. The clinic began at 5 p.m. in the Watt Arena of the Moncrief Building at the Will Rogers Equestrian Center in Fort Worth. Featuring $8 Million Dollar Winner Phil Rapp and industry legend Bill Riddle,  Cox' team provided insight into horsemanship skills designed to improve the rider’s ability to get the most from the horse, along with developing the rider’s skill set for training, and the approach to solving issues in the problem horse.

The NCHA hosed the World Championship Blacksmiths (WCB) horseshoeing competition December 13-15, which named a National Champion Blacksmith at the conclusion of the event. WCB members travel the nation throughout the year competing at various venues. The World Championship Futurity will be the last stop of 2012 and first visit to the NCHA Futurity.
