UT Horse Health Conference for Horse Owners
The UT College of Veterinary Medicine, in conjunction with the UT Extension Service, offers the annual horse owners educational conference on February 23, 2013: Advanced Equine Health Care for Horse Owners. It will be held at the College of Veterinary Medicine in room A118 (the Sequoyah Room), University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN. The College of Veterinary Medicine is located at 2407 River Drive.
Speakers will include: Dr. Draig Reinemeyer, on Parasite Control; Dr. James Blackford on Equine First Aid; Dr. Melissa Hines on Viral Diseases; Dr. Steve Adair on Equine Arthritis; Dr. José Castro on Pre-purchase Exams; Dr. Bridgett McIntosh on Carbohydrates in forages & feeds; Dr. Carla Sommardahl on Equine metabolic diseases; and Dr. David Anderson on New Equine Hospital Services. The conference will conclude with tours of the new Equine Hospital.
