Knotty Bolden Memorial Rodeo

The 29th annual Knotty Bolden Memorial Rodeo was held July 19-20, 2013 at the Knotty Bolden Memorial Arena near Hudsonville, MS.  The rodeo was produced by J Bar J Rodeo Co. and manager Jerry Bolden. Funny man Jeff (Jeffro) Cupp entertained the crowd with the help of his diminutive side kick and son Tyler as “Mini Me.”

There were 180 entries, including 26 bull riders, 30 barrel racers, and 3 saddle bronc riders. The bulls must have been pretty tough. Score for the two nights: Bulls 24, Cowboys 2.

This rodeo is held annually to honor the late Donald Lanier (Knotty) Bolden of Holly Springs, MS who was the 1983 world bull riding champion.
