Mississippi Teens Compete at NJHFR

Fourteen-year-old David Holt of Barton, MS was first in Tie Down Roping Performance 12 at the National Junior High Finals Rodeo at Red Rock Park in Gallup, NM June 23-29. He was fifth in the second round of Tie-Down Roping and second in the Tie-Down Average. For All-Around Cowboy, David placed 7th.  David also placed in Chute Dogging, where he was 7th in the Average; Boys Goat Tying, where he was seventh in Performance 7 and 9th in the Average; Ribbon Roping, and Team Roping.

Eighth-grader Hannah Lee competed in Girl’s Breakaway Roping, where she was 5th in Performance 7 and in Pole Bending. Although she was not in the top ten in her events, she was thrilled to be a part of the NJHFR!
David and Hannah are coached by John Toole at Circle T Stables in Coldwater, MS.

Kash Miller of Mize, MS and Chase Graves of Poplarville, MS were fourth in the Team Roping Performance 12; 20th in the second round; and third in the Team Roping Average.
