Olivia Lagoy-Weltz Clinic

By Kristin Lamberson

ALR Dressage and Massar Stables were pleased to host a two day clinic with International Dressage Rider Olivia LaGoy-Weltz in April 21-22. The clinic was full both days, with auditors welcome at no charge.

Participants, ranging from Training Level riders and young horses to those schooling Grand Prix, all benefitted from LaGoy-Weltz’s thoughtful and insightful teaching methods.  Through her keen eye and deep understanding of biomechanics, Olivia helped riders develop clearer and more concise communication with their horses. The diverse sessions had riders reaping benefits that came through subtle adjustments of seat and body positions; all of which translated to, and positively affected, their horse’s movement.

Olivia is a top international competitor just finishing up some big wins in Wellington, FL on the tough CDI circuit with her own horse, Rassing’s Lonoir, a 10-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding. The pair won the Intermediaire I in mid-March, 2014. This was her second win in Intermediaire I, as she captured first at the Palm Beach Derby CDI-W the first of March. Olivia is a USDF Gold, Silver and Bronze medalist and FEI competitor. Find more information at her website
