Labor Day Barrel Race

After a weekend’s rain, the weather was sunny and perfect for barrel racers at the IBRA (International Barrel Racing Association) sanctioned Labor Day Barrel Race on Monday, September 1, 2014 at the Northwest Mississippi Community College Arena in Senatobia, MS. There was $500 added to Open, $100 added to Youth and Adult.

In Buckaroo, Nateleigh McFarlin and Petey were fastest on the course with a winning time of 19.476. In the Youth division, Claire Foster on HF Dash N Strawfly were the fastest in 1D with a time of 15.408, winning $64. Taylor Coulter on Kid Rockin was first in 2D, with a time of 16.304, winning $110. Anna Scallion and Tara topped 3D with a time of 16.551.She also won first in the Open 4D with a time of 16.751. Sophie Smith on SO SO Sug captured first in Youth 4D with a time of 17.645.

In the Open division, Liz Crenshaw and Foxy blew away the others, winning 1D with a time of 14.641, taking home $251. Barbara Davis and Bling were first in 2D with a time of 15.141, winning $181. Darby Poole took first in 3D with a time of 15.754, winning $121.

In the Adult division, Katie Hancock and Bearsy were first in 1D with a time of 15.165. Hope Strickland captured first in 3D with a time of 16.443. And Liz Greene and Xman were first in 4D, with a time of 17.119.

Valerie Cross and Shadows Tiny were first in the Senior 1D, with a time of 21.211.
