John Toole’s Circle T Stables On Winning Streak
Roping horse trainer John Toole, riders and horses at his Circle T Stables are having a very good year. Several of his roping students were among the top winners on horses trained by John at the Tennessee High School Rodeo Finals (THSRF) at Shelby Showplace Arena in Memphis this summer. Hannah Lee of Nesbit, Mississippi brought home the 2014 High Point Breakaway Roping saddle. David Holt of Thaxton, Mississippi brought home the 2014 High Point Tie-down Roping saddle. At the 2014 Oklahoma State High School Rodeo finals, Quinton Inman finished in the third spot on a horse that John trained. All three riders and their horses qualified and competed at the prestigious National High School Rodeo Finals July 13-19 at Rock Springs, Wyoming. All three students enjoyed the opportunity John’s training has afforded them to compete at this national level of competition. Sponsors for the youth are always welcome and needed.
Born in Greenwood, Mississippi and raised in Oakland, Mississippi, John Toole has been riding horses for 25 years and has been training roping horses professionally for the last eight years. He moved to his current facility near Coldwater, Mississippi three years ago. Make a stop at his barn office and you’ll see many championship buckles and winning run photos that John has amassed over the years. His dad, Terry Toole, is a cutter and competes every year at the NCHA Futurity in Fort Worth, Texas. His daughters Jacey, 20, and Darby, 11, ride and rope also.
John’s training facility is located in an idyllic farming community on the outskirts of Coldwater, Mississippi. Just a few miles from I-55, the large picturesque white barn you see, with the horses grazing and romping, when you round the bend on Palestine Road is Circle T Stables. You’ll see ropers practicing on fresh cattle, donkeys, or ingeniously made steel and wood roping dummies that John, also a professional welder, has made. Two large roping pens with great footing are kept harrowed and ready for roping at all times. The indoor pen affords shelter from bad weather. John offers full boarding services with regular turnout for horses. He’ll be glad to tune up your roping horse, while some students opt to haul their horses in for lessons. Beginners to seasoned competitors, young and old, converge on Circle T Stables several days and evenings per week. They all have one thing in common - they are serious about their roping and enjoy the opportunity to train at Circle T Stables under John Toole’s expert guidance.
Visitors are welcome to stop by and meet John and view the facility. Circle T Stables is located at 2624 Palestine Road, Coldwater, Mississippi. Contact John at (901) 604-6757 for more information.
